Agreement to terms

By installing and using GPT2Notes ("the extension," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the extension.

License and usage

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use GPT2Notes for lawful purposes.

You MAY:

• Use the extension to export your own ChatGPT conversations
• Download conversations in any supported format
• Sync conversations to your own Notion workspace
• Use batch export, batch Notion sync, and auto sync for your own content (subject to Acceptable Use)
• Use exported content for personal or commercial purposes

You MAY NOT:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension
• Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the extension to violate OpenAI's or Notion's terms of service
• Use the extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Distribute or resell the extension or its code
• Use the extension to scrape or collect data for unauthorized purposes
• Automate activity (via batch or auto sync) that circumvents platform limits or targets content you do not own

Pricing

GPT2Notes offers a free tier plus an optional Premium subscription. Core functionality—single-conversation exports in every format, manual Notion sync, and local processing—remains free.

Free plan includes:

• Unlimited single-conversation exports (Markdown, HTML, JSON, plain text)
• Direct Notion OAuth connection and manual sync tools
• Local-only processing—no ChatGPT data touches our servers

Premium subscription includes:

• Batch export to ZIP (Markdown/HTML/JSON) for multiple conversations at once
• Batch sync of multiple conversations directly to Notion
• Automatic Notion sync for selected conversations or ChatGPT projects
• Project-level routing, no promotional watermarks, and priority email support

Subscription & billing terms

Premium plans are billed monthly or yearly (auto-renewing) and processed securely by Creem, our PCI-compliant payment provider. When you subscribe:

• You authorize us to charge the payment method on file at each renewal interval
• You may cancel anytime via the in-app “Account” page; access continues until the current billing period ends
• No refunds are issued for partial billing periods once a charge has settled
• Promotional pricing or trials (if offered) will be clearly disclosed at checkout
• We may update pricing; any increase will be communicated in advance and will not apply until your next renewal

Taxes or additional fees (where required by law) may be added at checkout. Premium features are optional, and the free plan remains available even if you cancel your subscription.

Acceptable use

When using GPT2Notes, you agree to:

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Respect ChatGPT's and Notion's terms of service
• Only export conversations you have the right to export
• Use the extension in a manner that does not harm our servers or infrastructure
• Not attempt to bypass rate limits or technical restrictions
• Operate batch export and auto sync in a way that respects OpenAI/Notion usage limits and organizational policies

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

Privacy and data

Your use of GPT2Notes is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• We do not collect or store your ChatGPT conversations
• All processing happens locally in your browser
• Notion access uses secure OAuth 2.0—your credentials never pass through our servers
• Batch export and auto sync queues operate locally; only you decide when data is sent to Notion or downloaded

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Notion account and any exported data. You can revoke GPT2Notes access anytime from your Notion settings.

Third-party services

GPT2Notes integrates with ChatGPT and Notion. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms:

We are not responsible for any issues arising from your use of these third-party services, including account suspensions, data loss, or service outages.

Disclaimer of warranties

GPT2Notes is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the extension will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Warranties that exported data will be perfectly formatted or complete

We make no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the extension. Use at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GPT2Notes and its developers shall not be liable for:

• Data loss or corruption
• Errors or inaccuracies in exported content
• Suspension or termination of your ChatGPT or Notion account
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GPT2Notes, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the extension
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of third-party rights or terms (e.g., OpenAI, Notion)
• Content you export or distribute using the extension

Intellectual property and trademarks

GPT2Notes, its logo, and related branding are proprietary to the developers. You may not use our branding without explicit written permission.

Trademark Notice: OpenAI, ChatGPT, and the ChatGPT logo are trademarks of OpenAI OpCo, LLC. Notion and the Notion logo are trademarks of Notion Labs, Inc. GPT2Notes is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI or Notion.

All third-party trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the extension, our website, or email (if you've provided one).

Continued use of GPT2Notes after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.

Termination

You may stop using GPT2Notes at any time by uninstalling the extension from your browser.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the extension for violations of these Terms or for any reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developers are based, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of GPT2Notes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the appropriate jurisdiction.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
